Architecture in the Heart of Houston
Alicia and Parker’s love story began during their college years, where they bonded over their shared passion for architecture and the vibrant city of Houston. With roots in Jewish, Bengali, Islamic, and Christian traditions, their wedding weekend was a celebration of unity, design, and culture.
Working alongside Prashe for decor and designer Selina Pinto, we created a stunning wedding experience that beautifully reflected the couple’s love for architectural details and their rich cultural heritage. From the ceremony’s minimalistic elegance, filled with white blooms and greenery, to a vibrant Bengali reception that showcased deep navy, hunter green, burgundy, and gold, each event was a work of art. The grandeur of The Corinthian was the perfect backdrop, blending timeless architecture with the couple’s modern aesthetic.
In the midst of the celebrations, the couple hosted a traditional Gaye Holud — a colorful pre-wedding ceremony rich in South Asian culture and cuisine. The event was filled with bright colors, traditional music, and delicious South Asian dishes, making it a joyful and festive highlight of the weekend.
To keep the celebrations alive, the weekend also included a curated rehearsal dinner, inspired by Parker’s parents' love for the Dallas Taste Fair, hosted at the chic Station 3 venue. The festivities also featured an intimate mehndi celebration at Alicia’s family home, bringing vibrant colors and personal touches into the mix.
From the stunning photography by Mir Anwar Studios to the flawless coordination by The Storybook Event, every moment was captured and brought to life with meticulous detail. Karma DJS kept the energy alive with music, while Ilume Artistry provided impeccable hair and makeup looks, and Henna by Shehzlan created intricate henna designs.
Cakes by Gina added a sweet touch, and Anticipate Invitations set the tone for the weekend with beautifully designed stationery that hinted at the blend of cultures to come. This wedding was truly a masterpiece, showcasing the beauty of love, design, and tradition in the heart of Houston.
